About Running Lights
Success is earned. The late nights. The countless writes and rewrites. That inexhaustible sense of fight that defines what many might mistakenly refer to as “luck."
For NYC based trio The Running Lights – brothers Mike Squillante (vocals, guitar), Nick Squillante (keys), and long time friend Steve Ranellone (drums), it’s a notion that has been a cornerstone of their upbringing paired with an unwavering passion for music.
While each member of the group initially walked very different musical paths, they eventually went into the studio together, began writing relentlessly, and never looked back. What resulted was a contemporary sound that could be best described as electric pop rock with soul and a whole lot of heart.
Teaming up with multi-platinum producer/songwriter William Wiik Larsen of IDAP music (Nico and Vinz “Am I Wrong”, Kygo “Stay”, Florida Georgia Line “H.O.L.Y.”), their sessions immediately yielded promising singles and the chemistry was undeniable.
As The Running Lights prepare to release their debut EP in 2019, they acknowledge their roots; that of three boys who grew up together through, music, family, and life's ups and downs with one eye always focused on the stars.
The countdown has begun.
