Alex Pomerantz

Throughout the years, during times of hardship and happiness, singer/songwriter Alex Pomerantz found himself plunking keys on his parents' upright piano, or strumming guitar chords on the floor of his bedroom. Wherever he was, had one thing in mind - to share a story. Opening for performers such as Patti Smith and Freddy Jones Band at a young age sparked a love of performing and a desire to hone his craft. In his early twenties, Alex packed a few sets of clothes, a suitcase, and a guitar into his tiny Chevy Sonic and moved to Nashville, TN. After experiencing first-hand the highs and lows of writing songs five days-a-week, Alex returned to Chicago with a new appreciation for the song. While his Folk influences act as a base for his work, a love for Pop and Country hooks spread throughout his songs to help share life’s joys, disappointments, loves, and friendships.
