La Chiva Gantiva is a Colombian-Belgian band with over 15 years of
experience, renowned for their ability to blend the traditional Colombian
sounds with modern genres like rock, hip-hop, and electronic music. Based
in Brussels, the group started as a project to reconnect its members'
Afro-Colombian heritage with diverse global musical influences, resulting in
a distinctive sound that has captivated audiences on international stages.
With vibrant and unmistakable energy, the band has released several albums
and singles, standing out for their ability to tell profound stories while
experimenting with innovative sounds. In 2025, they celebrate their 15th
anniversary with a new album that features singles such as "Vibration is
Life", a collaboration with Panamanian artist Cienfúé; "Yo vuelo al revés", a
song that revisits the band's early sounds and was presented in a live
session with guest musicians; and "Tiene Hambre", a track exploring the
duality of ego through hypnotic and cinematic atmospheres. This new work
