George Clinton & Parliament/Funkadelic's farewell tour continues to work its way across the US and the Globe through the rests of 2018 into 2019, making every time P-Funk Frontman Mike Clip Payne gets the 420 Funk Mob together it's not just a concert it's an EVENT. The band turns down more shows than they take. It's been that way since their first sold out show at TRAMPS NYC in 1997 and continues to this day.

The band has a reputation as the"Pfunk version of the Garcia Band" that has given them cult status in the Funk Universe since 1997. Now their psychedelic funk rock attack has spilled over into the jam band scene with appearances at events like NY Harvest Festival, Universal Church of Love & Music, the Mateel Summer Music Festival in Humboldt County, The High Times Medical Cannabis Cup, SweetWater Music Hall, Red Fox Tavern, The Mint, Ardmore Music Hall, American Beauty NYC to name Just a few.

The 420 Funk Mob features an All Star cast of musicians from inside and outside the world of Parliament Funkadelic. The band can be an 8 piece power Psychedelic Funk Rock band or a 23 piece Funkestra featuring horns, background singers and strings. The 420 Funk Mob is Clip’s off days project that features a revolving cast of all star musicians that have included Bowie, D’Angelo, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Outkast, Bowie, Amy Winehouse, Lenny Kravitz, Bootsy Collins, Kung Fu, Muzik Mafia posse, label mates DRUGS and of course Parliament/Funkadelic members. Some nights the 420FM features special guests like George Clinton, Fred Wesley of the JBs, Leo Nocentelli of the Meters, Toshe Reagan, and Eric McFadden. Others like Dj Logic, Bernie Worrell, Shelia Horn Brody (Brides) and Stanley Jordan have jumped up on stage to sit in where they fit in.”

Band members have included Rock N Roll Hall of Fame members Garry Starchild Shider, Billy Bass Nelson, Cordell Boogie Mosson, Rodney Skeet Curtis, Mike Kidd Funkadelic Hampton, Greg Thomas and Bennie Cowens from P-Funk, Dr. Know and Daryl Jenifer of Bad Brains, Jazz icons Foley along with Badal Roy (Miles Davis) and Zach Brock (Snarky Puppy), even country artists James Otto, and Shannon Lawson have been in the mix. One thing the 420 Funk Mob is famous for; You never know who may show up with the band or what they may play.
