Rock and Roll from Calgary, AB... Formed in 2009 by Turner Midzain, Mike Badmington and Jeff Oman, Shotgun Dolls was born with a love for Rock N’ Roll. With a wide range of influences from Led Zeppelin to Queens of the Stone Age to Alexisonfire and Thin Lizzy, this band sought out to accomplish playing music they loved, and showing people a new breed of Rock music. Their music holds no limits and no boundaries. In late 2010, Shotgun Dolls released their first EP. With a growing local fan base, Shotgun Dolls traveled to surrounding cities to promote their new release and gain provincial fan base. In March 2012, Shotgun Dolls announced they had parted ways with drummer Jeff Oman, due to time constraints and commitment issues. They also announced that they had found a new drummer, Ty Gogal, who would take the reins and lead Shotgun Dolls forwards. They unveiled their new drummer and a new sound of fresh rock n’ roll in April, which pushed Shotgun Dolls in the direction they wanted.
