About Salazar
PETE SALAZAR--Lead Vocals
Growing up South Texas I had a variety of musical influences. From the beginning country music had my soul. I started singing at an early age... but it wasn't until after high school that I took my first “stage." The rest is your typical tale of clubs and bars and holes in the wall where I sang to empty tables and chairs.... sang to fools that won't listen....and drunks that don't care..been told countless times “boy you ain't going nowhere".... but its what I do. Now together with ”the boys of Salazar" we are taking South Georgia by storm!
BRANDON OGLE--Guitar/BGV
At an early age, Brandon can remember loving music of all kinds. But it wasn't until the summer of 2005, when he was 15, that he held a guitar for the first time; and the rest is history. Diving into music such as AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Pantera, and numerous other hard rock and grunge bands, he began to develop his style of playing. Shortly after he started listening to artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Hendrix, Kenny Wayne Shephard, and other great blues guitarists it was then that he developed a strong passion for blues music. He began to do, as all his idols before him had done, and played in numerous local rock bands. But, it wasn't until the summer of 2012 that everything changed. He was asked by a very well known local country singer to bring his energetic style of playing to his group. Skeptical of trying a completely different genre at first, he decided to give it a shot and joined the group. He realized that diving into this new genre would help him develop his style of playing even more and grew a new-found fondness for country music. Now, after taking a little time to develop their own sound and style of bluesy and rockin' country music, the band "Salazar" is known as one of the south's hottest bands, and is taking the music scene by storm!
