About Sacred Serenity (Pennsylvania)

The average person wouldn't think of Spring City, Pennsylvania as a breeding ground for intelligent progressive metal. The average person wouldn't think anything about Spring City at all. A speck on the corner of south east Pennsylvania, Spring City is quiet and unassuming. But beneath the streets, between the ebb and flow of regular life broods a band that seeks to shake the very foundations of the small town that birthed it. From the depths, Sacred Serenity delivers punishing rhythms and heavenly melodies to summon a mixture of intensity and energy that will not only move the body but also stimulate the mind. Formed in 2010, Sacred Serenity consists of Pat Scanlon on vocals, Nathan Parker on guitars, Jesse Winters on bass, and Kyle Peronteau on drums. Ever pushing the envelope, Sacred Serenity strives to always better the music that they create, to wade into unexplored waters of riffing and rhythm. With the resolve of those driven by their dreams the band has pushed on as an unsigned act and funded all of their own endeavors including the professionally produced 4 song EP, Crossroads, in 2011 and their most recent Full Length album, Synapse, in the summer of 2012. "Synapse impressed me greatly. From the first note to the last, it was a very fun listen...", said Steven Pongrac of Me Gusta Reviews in his impressed review of the bands latest release. Synapse, as the bands most recent release, is the sound of a band maturing and coming into it's own sound. Having already gained momentum world wide Synapse promises to be the beginning of a great journey for Sacred Serenity. Ever looking forward, the band continues to push the envelope of their own talent and to achieve greater things. In July of 2012 the band competed in a Battle of the Bands for a spot to play Rockstar's Mayhem Festival on the tour's stop in Scranton, PA. Once the sound had settled and the judging was complete Sacred Serenity emerged the victor and went on to share the Sumerian Records stage at Mayhem Festival with the band Upon a Burning Body. What to expect from Sacred Serenity in the future? Tours, big shows, and new music that will undoubtedly blur the lines of genre.
