The Felines

The Felines' songs shakes, rattles and rolls around a theme of youthful longing, wrapped in a warm blanket of twanging surf guitars, doo-wop harmonies and thunderous drums. The theme is love of all kinds - dreamy, obsessive, vengeful, unrequited and uncertain, while garage rock’s aggressive and upfront palette stands as a cornerstone to the Felines’ otherwise quirky universe. With a laid-back charm and seemingly effortless ease, the three girls sing and play their unabashed pop songs, with a sound that lands somewhere between The Breeders, Phil Spector and Wild Billy Childish, but a panache and sense of fun which is all their own. From their first fumbles in 2010 the girls have come a long way, releasing two EPs, touring Europe several times and now ready with their admirably multi-faceted debut album. The album is out on vinyl via Soundflat Records (DE), with a cassette version emerging shortly afterwards on the legendary American label Burger Records.
