Cat Power

As expected, this show was amazing! What a great venue to have an intimate performance. The sound system was excellent and really featured Cat Power's extraordinary voice. Bob would be proud of her renditions. Great supporting band! Would have loved an encore though. Maybe those going to her second sold out night will get that privilege.

Chan Marshall’s vocal performance was incredible and her backing musicians were some of the best I’ve ever heard. This is really two concerts in one: a somber intimate first half & a rollicking, rocking 2nd half. If you ever wanted to see Cat Power this is the tour you should not miss.

It was very good! She had a lot energy, into the music tonight. The band was good and hit the right accompaniment. Dylan ‘66 is tough to capture, she was focused on the music, Let’s Go !!

She killed it (along with her fellow musicians) for both the acoustic set and the electric set. It was enthralling the whole way through!

Venue is arguably iconic but having to sit is a bit of a drag. Cat Power is amazing - haunting voice and interpretation of one of the most famous rock shows in rock show history... and it's Dylan!

Chan was in fine voice tonight, and every one of the band played it just right. Some of the songs bear little resemblance to what appear on record but are even more interesting for it.

I never thought I would see Chan in my city, it was a very intimate and emotional concert, Chan is a goddess

This was a great concert! A fantastic singer and dramatic arrangements by a great sounding band. The Center for the Arts has the best sound I’ve ever heard.

Grateful to have been able to see her play in such an intimate venue again. Reminded me of seeing her at the old Knitting Factory in LA back in the day, when I snuck backstage and bummed a Parliament cigarette from her . Chan is a Goddess and her voice feels like home. Thank you for an amazing show. ❤️

Fantastic shows with sweet music and Chan’s lovely powerful voice drifting through the redwoods and eucalyptus trees. Quite memorable and a generous set.

Her voice and band were in great form. It was a little strange not being able to see much as few lights were on her band, none on her. She found the darkness of the shadows. Ok if you just want to close your eyes and listen, but I like to get a bit more visual from shows.

Dommage, Cat Power a chanté 1 h 15 dans la pénombre. Nous avons vu son visage quand elle a salué le public et est partie sans rappel. Sinon, elle a une très jolie voix.

Show was amazing. The fox theatre was cool too! I flew out from Minneapolis just to see this show. Cat Power is my hero.

Great gig! Chan and band were in fine form this pleasant evening at the zoo. Unfortunate to hear Jen Cloher had to pull out but was great to see Julia Jacklin for the first time.

Beautiful as always. But the Dallas crowd SUCKED. Clearly KXT had given away a bunch of tix and it seemed like a third of the audience left within 20 minutes. Cat Power is a sonically dynamic band. So one song can start out quietly and get loud and harsh by the end. So listening carefully and attentively is rewarding. The Dallas crowd just jabbered through everything. At one point some glowing balloons were being tossed about. This always tells me the crowd is more into themselves than the band. Bravo to Chan daring them to pop the idiotic balloons. Anyhow she was transcendent and poetic. A muse if there ever was one. I am sure she would have preferred a half full house of fans than a full house of know nothings. I loved her performance and her voice has held up extremely well. Go see her when you can and shut up and listen. You might learn something.

You feel like you're in her living room. You feel with her when she struggle, you laugh when she tell you funny stories, you cry a little when she probably do the same.
