About Tales

Fresh out of Birmingham, UK, the band are an enigmatic duo comprising of Luke MacGregor-Dignan and James Harrison. They are a unique band with flavours of post-rock, progressive and math rock, creating tensions and releases rather than verses and choruses. Influenced by bands like Meet Me In St. Louis, Foals and Tubelord; songs slip between tempos and time signatures and are peppered with pop-hooks. “Tales are an ambitious pair, setting out to create all sorts of tricky and dynamic musical structures. ‘Mounting Mountains’ is clear example of how they’ve managed to keep the right side of things, with a narrative feel and a real sense of moods coming and going, ebbing and flowing.” Supajam Their debut release entitled “North” is available as a free Digital Download, and is also available as a hand-numbered limited-edition black cd. The follow up release entitled “South” is due to be released in late 2013. Computer-fueled math rock duo.
