About Prosanctus Inferi
Prosanctus Inferi started in early 2005 as a two piece involving Jake Kohn and Steve Mercer. After a few months of rehearsing a 3 song tape was recorded which was never officially released. Less then 10 copies were made and given to close friends. A year passes of intense rehearsal and the official demo tape "Sacreligious Desecration In Excelsis" is produced. 300 units were made, 100 of which were made on white pro tape by the label Intolerant Records. Later the label Chrome Leaf pressed the demo on a one sided LP limited to 100 units. After a year Prosanctus Inferi plagues the United States with a slew of shows, most notably the Sacrifice fo the Nazarene Child fest and recording a 7" with 3 new songs on it for the label Hells Headbangers. Another year passes and Mercer is replaced by Antichristus of the band Father Befouled. After Jake Kohn and Antichristus rehearse for half a year they record the album "Pandemonic Ululations of Vesperic Palpitation". The album is 12 tracks long and features an outro by Michael Ford of Black Funeral. During the recording of the album Antichristus took his own life, and never heard the final recordings. Time passes without much growth, but a new mutation of the band takes place with the addition of Jeremy Spears from the local technical metal band Deadsea. Four new songs have been produced and old ones redone. A new release is slated to be unleashed by the label Nuclear War Now! in the near future, as well as a shirt design.
