About The Shake Appeal

The Shake Appeal formed in the winter of 2010. Playing the kind of Alternative Rock. In January 2013 the band released a 4-track EP titled "Approach With Caution" which received positive attention from local media such as The Crack, NARC Magazine, BBC Radio Newcastle and a 10 minute interview on NE1FM. "Four explosive tracks full of toxic guitar hooks and octane energy as well as heavy melodies and captivating lyrics reminiscent of Be Your Own Pet and Band of Skulls. A highlight is Georgia Mcrae's vocals, which although smooth and silky still retain a gritty rock edge" - NARC "The kind of alt rock which sounds like it has been constructed from the sparks that fly off sheet metal as it is being cut. There’s not an inch of fat to be found within these four tracks, which are mercifully free of bluster and squeal deliciously over slab-heavy melodies which all stack up rather nicely" - The Crack This has led to gigs at the 02 Academy, The Cluny and a support slot with Planes (featuring Steve Forrrest of Placebo).
