Teutonosaur

Teacher by day, indie-rocker by night, Teutonosaur is the creative project of David J. Baldwin-a musician who has played in numerous bands, perpetually crafting hooks and arranging multi-layered instrumentation along the way. Eventually this regular aural-smithing blossomed into full-blown songwriting. The debut record, "A Sweetened Fire," was the culmination of years of sideline songwriting in basements and backrooms. After recording all the instrumentation (except for drums) on the record himself, the next logical step was translating it all into a live band entity. Assembling a rotating cast of fellow by-night creatives, a band was formed, made up of talented, like-minded players who embody the same ethos- ready to capture the spirit of certain sub-genres of indie rock (jangle-pop, shoegaze, powerpop...) and reinterpret those songs on stage. The second album is already in the works.
