Weekend Excursion

In the band's 10 years together, they enjoyed a touring radius from Florida to New York City. High profile shows with Black Eyed Peas, Barenaked Ladies, Melissa Etheridge, Vertical Horizon and John Mayer helped heighten the bands profile within its home state. However, the concert stage wasnt the only platform the band used to gain exposure. The band had six songs included in episodes of the 10th season of MTVs Real World, and had three songs featured on the Warner Brothers television show "Dawsons Creek". There was also a song featured in the 1st season dvd of Fox's "Party of Five" and on season 6 of NBC's "Scrubs" in 2007. Numerous compilations, including one produced and distributed by the retail giant Best Buy, also helped spread the word. In the summer of 2003, the band embarked on a two month "tour for the troops" sponsored by Armed Forces Entertainment where they played in countries including Afghanistan, Bahrain, Japan, and Korea. All the exposure led consumers to shows and record stores, where WEEKEND EXCURSION developed an impressive sales history.
