GUMBO

The Gothenburg-based band was formed following a trip to New Orleans in 2000 and has since toured extensively, wowing blues audiences across Sweden and Europe with their incredibly infectious, high-energy live shows. The band has also recorded four albums and performed live on Swedish radio (SR P4). Gumbo plays a blend of blues, boogie, roots, and soul rooted in the sounds of New Orleans, Louisiana, and is sometimes described as Gothenburg’s answer to The Meters. Combining exceptional musical skill with an energetic stage presence, the band has won the hearts of both audiences and critics alike.

The band members have previously toured and recorded with some of the biggest legends in Swedish music—such as Freddie Wadling, Roffe Wikström, Totta, and Sven Zetterberg, to name a few.
