Liam Barrett

Liam Barrett is a singer-songwriter from Northwest Indiana, now working through the Chicago indie scene, whose sound is an amalgamation combining the weight of alternative rock, the ambience of modern pop, and the intimacy and warmth of today’s driving folk-revival. Liam writes with an emphasis on lived-in lyricism, emotional honesty, and doesn’t shy from exploring the messy parts, and self-doubts.
After trickling releases, he recently released his 2026 debut EP, Slowburn, which is a welcome to his universe, dictating his sound as unapologetically raw, and it showcases a good sample platter for his color palette. The topic matter provides a portrayal of creative burnout and post-college existential dread, labeling anxiousness and avoidance, and leaving it all behind in the end. You can find, Slowburn, on all streaming platforms and can see Liam play live throughout the midwest area.
