About NÖKS
NÖKS
NÖKS is a rock duo from Sønderborg, Denmark, consisting of Thomas Jessen on guitar and vocals (The Preachers, Vilde Sjæle) and Ebbe Hansen on drums.
After eight years living apart in Esbjerg and Copenhagen, the two childhood friends returned to their home region to start NÖKS.
Rooted in the sounds of the 1990s, NÖKS draws inspiration from bands such as Melvins,
The Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana, while embracing the heavier tones of stoner rock and the expansive textures of psychedelic rock.
The result is a distinctive blend of alternative rock that is both heavy and atmospheric.
Their lyrics explore mental states, twisted love, and everything in between. There is no mistaking the conviction behind their sound as they pull audiences into a relentless wall of noise.
Live, NÖKS delivers intensity, energy, and a raw, uncompromising presence that leaves a lasting impression.
