Liberace and Liza: A Tribute

This wildly improbable and completely irresistible show that imagines just what might’ve happened if Liberace and Liza Minnelli ever shared the stage. They didn’t of course, likely for reasons of cosmic balance. But thanks to David Saffert and Jillian Snow, now they do!

Equal parts tribute, improv, and full-on fever dream, the show blends virtuosic piano playing, powerhouse vocals, and more sequins than strictly necessary. The setlist swings from Cabaret and Gershwin to hilarious reimaginings of Britney Spears and Lady Gaga, because subtlety is not in their contract. Each performance is unique: Saffert and Snow riff off each other and the audience, delivering fresh scenarios and plenty of laughs every night.

The San Francisco Chronicle called it “surreal, yet oddly perfect” —a fitting description for this dazzling homage. Whether you’re drawn by the nostalgia, the outrageous camp, or simply curious how far two performers can push a sequin budget, Liberace and Liza: A Tribute has enough heart to stay with you long after the curtain comes down. You’ll leave laughing, singing, and wondering if you just attended a show or fell into a wonderfully weird daydream. Either way, it’s a win.
