Snowcuffs

Snowcuffs is a Chicago dream pop band blending dueling guitars, hypnotic synths, and entrancing vocals into dense, cinematic soundscapes. Influenced by artists like Alvvays, Mazzy Star, and DIIV, the band drifts between nostalgic haze and fuzz-driven intensity.

Formed in late 2022 by members of Lightfoils and Astrobrite, Snowcuffs was quickly embraced by the growing Midwest shoegaze scene with the release of their debut EP Sink Down (2025). Praised for its immersive textures and sweeping melodies, the release earned them a spot at Kalamashoegazer, the country's longest-running shoegaze festival, as well as invitations to share the stage with artists including Newmoon and Cigarettes For Breakfast.

Their second EP, Sweet Gravity (2026), marked a major step forward for Snowcuffs. The release drew praise for its emotional depth and refined songwriting. Sweet Gravity spent two weeks at #1 on Chicago's CHIRP Radio, and the single "Burst" was included in influential playlists such as KEXP and BIRP!. The EP was featured by FLOOD Magazine, The Line of Best Fit, Chicago Reader, and Stereogum, while Milwaukee's One Kind Radio described it as "thrillingly alive."

As the band continues building momentum across the Midwest and beyond, Snowcuffs is carving out a sound that's equally massive and intimate, balancing warmth, atmosphere, and drive.
