The Joneses

In October 2016, five musicians from London and the South East came together with a shared obsession: recreating the magic of The Smiths. Not your average covers band—not parody, not pastiche—but a genuine tribute act dedicated to one of Britain's most influential bands.

Every performance is a labour of love—from the jangle of Johnny Marr's guitar, to the driving rhythm section of Rourke and Joyce, to the theatrical presence of Morrissey at his best. We don't just play the songs. We inhabit them.

Our live show draws from The Smiths' raw concert energy, delivering a dramatic set with nods towards punk and rockabilly. With two guitarists, we authentically recreate Johnny Marr's layered guitar parts and capture the sound of The Smiths' final tour featuring Craig Gannon, widely regarded as the band at their peak.

Expect flowers, theatrical antics, and Morrissey's unmistakable stage presence brought faithfully to life. The band are also known for throwing in occasional special treats: covers from classic bands such as The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen, Talking Heads, and Depeche Mode.
