Evgeny Khavtan is the founder, guitarist, composer and longtime creative force behind the legendary band Bravo — one of the most stylish and influential rock ’n’ roll bands to emerge from Russia.
Since forming Bravo in Moscow in 1983, Khavtan has created the band’s signature sound, blending the spirit of the 1960s with classic rock ’n’ roll, beat music, rockabilly and new wave influences.
Over several decades, Bravo has released 13 studio albums and became a truly iconic band whose songs have brought joy and inspiration to generations of listeners.
Throughout the band’s history, its vocalists have included Zhanna Aguzarova, Evgeny Osin, Valery Syutkin and Robert Lenz, while Evgeny Khavtan has remained the band’s main songwriter, musical director and creative heart.
He is the composer behind Bravo’s most beloved songs, including “Old Hotel,” “King Orange Summer,” “Love, Girls,” “This City,” “Road to the Clouds,” “Moscow Beat,” “Stylish Orange Tie,” “Love Doesn’t Burn” and many more.
