Kadjavsi

Kadjavsi is the musical project of Bucharest-based composer, songwriter, producer, and visual artist Nikita Dembinski. Beginning with ambient piano compositions in 2017, the project gradually evolved into a restless form of alternative rock—combining warm melodies, angular guitars, electronic fractures, post-punk tension and traces of jazz. Dembinski’s background in classical music, visual art, or his experience as a composer for theatre and film is often found in the obsessive lyricism that accompanies Kadjavsi.

The debut album, Second Sun (2022), introduced Kadjavsi through introspective songwriting and atmospheric arrangements. Its follow-up, Above Albatross (2025), expands that language into something rawer and more physical, moving between vulnerability, distortion, intimacy, and sudden release. At its core, Kadjavsi is music about the quiet devastation of being human—made with precision, but never fully under control.
