Overthrown

Overthrown is a deathcore/hardcore band based in New Zealand. Joseph (vocalist) and Flynn (guitarist) crossed paths by chance, their shared passion for heavy music quickly sparking a new creative journey. Out of this connection, their first track, Bone Tree (Let It Burn) was born; an achievement that cemented their drive to push further.

Later on, Joseph and Flynn met Billy (the bassist) and Tui (the drummer). Since then, they’ve become very close friends and built a bond within the band like no other. Their new EP “Purgatory” which released on the 31st of March is something they’ve really worked hard on, now pushing their sound to the next level. They’re now looking forward to living the life they’ve always dreamed of.

Blending elements of deathcore, hardcore, and metalcore, Overthrown forge an authentic and hard-hitting sound that’s both fresh and punchy. This is just the beginning of their story.
