Donkstar
Tshephiso Phineas Kekana | Music Producer & Artist | Zebediela Village

Born on 21 February 2009 in Zebediela Village, Donkstar is a young South African producer and artist making waves with his fresh sound and relentless creativity. His love for music started early - at just five years old, his father introduced him to the guitar and piano keyboard, sparking a passion that would shape his entire path.

By age 12, Donkstar was already experimenting with beat-making, and in 2021 he officially began his journey as a music producer. What sets him apart is his versatility. He moves fluidly across genres, blending the energy of Lekompo and Xibelani with the deep grooves of Amapiano and the cultural richness of Tribal music. This fusion gives his sound a unique identity that resonates with both local and growing international audiences.

For Donkstar, music isn’t just a career - it’s pride, expression, and a way to tell the story of where he comes from. With every beat and melody, he’s building a legacy rooted in his village but aimed at the world stage.

This is just the beginning. Donkstar is here to create, innovate, and leave a lasting mark on the industry.
