Mark Priore

Introduced to classical piano at the age of 5, Mark Priore fell in love with jazz and began studying it on his own. He went on to graduate from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with the highest honors. In parallel, he became a sought-after sideman in Paris and across Europe (Italy, Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Poland…), collaborating with artists such as Dhafer Youssef, Nguyen Le, Raphael, Toku, Celia Kameni, Charlotte Planchou and Prabhu Édouard. He has appeared on 8 albums, including those of Robinson Khoury, Pamina Beroff and Baiju Bhatt, and released his first solo piano album in June 2023.
His distinctions include the 1st Prize at the 2014 UDDJ Competition with his first ensemble, the Grand Prize of the International "Jazz in Baikal" Competition (Russia), and the 2nd Prize of the International Jazz Chorus Piano Competition, of which Martial Solal was Honorary President. He recently won the Jury Prize of the René Utreger Competition with his Trio, received the "Coup de Cœur" of the Académie Charles Cros, earned a nomination for the "Prix Evidence" of the Académie du Jazz for his latest album Initio, and was named in the Breakthrough Artist category of the 2024 Victoires du Jazz.
