About Calling From Pluto

Calling From Pluto
They are New Jersey's first band from Pluto! Calling From Pluto writes indie rock tunes, and takes inspiration across different genres including artists like No Doubt, Rex Orange County, Queen, and Lizzy McAlpine.
Meeting at Rowan University, the band was formed after producer, Christian Arriola Moreno (professionally known as chicoblu.) was captivated by Amanda Valentina’s songwriting and powerhouse vocals, bringing in other musicians to help record a single. The gang spent some time playing shows all over the South Jersey basement scene, leading to the start of CFP, with; Chris Arriola on keys, Amanda Valentina on lead vocals, Joe Shields on lead guitar, Stephen Kossman on bass, and Amanda Senatore on drums.
Coming off of the success of their first released double-single, Teeth/Pluto, and the acclaimed reception of their debut album, Reframed, Calling From Pluto recently sold out Rowan University’s Edelman Planetarium, transforming the album into an immersive experience, as well as critical acclaim and coverage from 91.3 FM WTSR, The Whit, OnBeat Mexico, buzzyband.com, SWORD RADIO UK, and more.
The album blends indie rock, alt rock, jazz, and psychedelic influences, allowing each track to evolve from its lyrical core rather than be confined to a single genre. Songs like “Womaneater”, “Ten Eyes,” “Teeth,” and “Fast Fashion” highlight the band’s focus on different emotional perspectives on love, war, and life.
