Wepeg

Wepeg are a Japanese art-punk trio working under the banner “formless / violent / pop.” Their music is built around friction: aggressive but catchy, unstable but immediate, shaped by sharp structural shifts, spoken-sung vocals, and a constant pull between abrasion and hook. Rather than settling into one mode, wepeg push their songs through movement, pressure, and sudden turns, aiming for a version of art-punk that feels tense, physical, and hard to pin down.
With “Scarydream°☆,” the band step more clearly into their current phase — one where violence, catchiness, and formal instability are no longer separate instincts, but part of the same language.
