About Stuckfish

Stuckfish
The Stuckfish evolution continues with album four in the discography with songs that journey into unexpected places both musically and lyrically.
The songs are essentially stories, travelling on soundscapes that vary from 70’s and 80’s style melodic rock to neo-prog cinematic composition.
Lyrically, the listener is invited to take alternative perspectives on everyday life or the lives of others such as the French stage actress, Sarah Bernhardt (Shadows and Moonbeams), who had many significant lovers all of whom believed they were ‘the one.’ Or perhaps travel with the narrator on a near death experience (SkiesFall), or examine the timeline of a life shaped by a mixture of other people’s expectations and personal ambition (Time of your Life).
This album constitutes the most ambitious work yet for the songwriting partnership of Adrian Fisher (guitarist/producer) and Philip Stuckey (vocalist/lyricist) with the line up of Phil Morey (bass), Adam Sayers (drums), and new keyboard player Paul McNally providing significant composition skills and the talent to perform the music in a live context. “ Stuckfish IV” was voted in the “TOP 10” Albums of the Year in Prog magazine in 2024 and played with BIG BIG TRAIN in support of the album release.
