Ex Lover

Based in Omaha, Nebraska, Ex Lover is a post-punk collective founded by Aramara Quintos Tapia. Following the release of their debut full-length album, Devotion, it was quickly expanded into a dynamic live act with rotating members and growing electronic sensibilities.

Blending driving bass lines, shimmering melodic guitar riffs, and Tapia’s affection for the carefree, sugary lyricism of early- to mid-2000s Mexican pop, Ex Lover crafts a sound that feels both nostalgic and strikingly modern. Their sophomore album, Made in Heaven, marks a bold step forward by refining their fusion of post-punk fundamentals and pop edge into something undeniably danceable and unmistakably their own.
