Spunk

From the sewers of Hacienda Heights, Spunk is the bastard offspring of Bruno Bones (vocals), Jake Thee Ripper (guitar), Jay Cum (bass), and Brian Torn (drums). The boys met at Los Altos High School, where Jay Cum (17) still spends his days. (He made honor roll this year. We're all very proud of him). Spunk's classic 80's punk sensibility and metal inspired guitar deems them unclassifiable, but a few of their influences consist of The Germs, The Stooges, and Rudimentary Peni.

Despite spewing out live shows like a broken faucet (averaging around two per week), they somehow found the time to release an IP and an EP - completely self funded. They've created a large name for themselves in the seedy los Angeles and East LA Punk/Hardcore scenes - receiving inquiries practically daily to get thrown on a bill or headline a show. Spunk is notorious for bringing out a high energy and moving crowd.
Their barely legal, kicking and screaming demographic mixed with Bruno Bones' mid show antics and chaos creates an inspiring energy in the room that reminds you why you fell in love with music in the first place - or triggers your fight or flight. Either way is cool with them.
