About Fairly Obvious
Fairly Obvious
Fairly Obvious are a progressive pop-punk band from Taupō, New Zealand, blending big hooks, driving guitars and restless energy.
Drawing influence from Jimmy Eat World, Head Automatica, blink-182 and Paramore, they sit somewhere between polished melody and punch-you-in-the-face momentum.
Originally formed as a covers band, Fairly Obvious shifted gears in 2025, writing a full set of original material in just six weeks after landing an opening slot for a national act. That burst of momentum kick-started work on their debut album, due later this year.
