Scarcity

Scarcity (scare-city) is a Nu Metal band from Riverside, CA. The band consists of Slater Zubillaga (14) (drums/lead vocals), Vincent Chavez (13) (guitar/backup vocals), and Julian Trejo (13) (bass/backup vocals). Musical influences include: Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Korn, Metallica, Suicide Silence, and As Blood Runs Black. Slater has been playing drums since 2022 and doing vocals since 2024. Vincent has been playing guitar since 2023. Julian has been playing bass since 2024.

In December 2024, Slater and Vincent formed a new project from the ashes of a previous band. Julian solidified the lineup and they became the band Scarcity on January 20, 2025. Within a month of becoming a band, they had a video covering "Ghostbusters" go viral with 3 million views which kickstarted their social media following. Since then, they've been working their way through the local IE/OC/LA music scene.

Following months of writing, they debuted their first song live unreleased at the Glass House in Pomona on August 30, 2025. After scrapping the original recordings from a third party, they decided to self produce their first single that turned out be "Through My Veins". Fast forward a few months later, they released their EP "Through My Veins", now streaming on all music and social media platforms. The EP includes the title track, "Through My Veins" and a cover of Sepultura's "Roots Bloody Roots", along with 2 new songs that have never been released before.
