Julian Lage

Julian Lage was amazing - great acoustic concert. The sound was wonderful in the Hall. Some issues or concerns... We go to a lot of concerts in the MD and VA area. People take photos and videos. Your signs before the concert prohibited that - and then we saw half the audience taking pictures and videos.... I think you either have to enforce the rules for everyone, or more practically, live with the reality that people are going to take pictures and videos... Another issue - always harder with growing/big name artists.... He played for 75 minutes and did an encore.... so 90 minutes of time but not really 90 minutes of music.... You could argue that your tickets were fairly priced, but I know people, including us, would have enjoyed a little more of his time. Thanks very much, John

Unbelievable! Barone Fort is an awesome venue perfectly sized for intimate jazz sessions. Julian and co. jammed for an hour and a half with ease, nuancing the tempo, volume, groove with masterclass bass, drums and guitar soloing. Most likely I would place the Julian Lage trio in top 10 Jazz concerts I have attended.

At the end of the set, my friend said, “I’m a better person than I was when I came in.”

Julien Lage is a genius. Weve seen him twice in the past 1.5 years and he blows us both away with his talent. If he is coming to your area, go for god's sake! Do yourself a service!

I have seen Julian Lage before, live with his trio. This was a special treat to see him solo. The venue was fantastic, as was the show.

Julian, Jorge Roeder and Dave King were firing on all cylinders at the Village Vanguard. The level of interplay and mastery of their instruments was amazing to witness.

Julian is like fine wine, fantastic guitar player witha fantastic band. Also great venue, sound was fanstastic and elevate whatbthe band was playing

Without a doubt, one of the most exciting guitarists on the scene right now; and that's based on a guy, in a chair, with an acoustic guitar. The precarious improvising is awe-inspiring and the interpretations of his own songs and classics are jaw-dropping. Great, intimate venue, superb sound and an amazing show.

A privilege to see the Julian Lage perform at an amazing venue Union Chapel. We were wowed by incredible guitar playing along with insane drums and bass from the rest of the trio! Go check out the Julian Lage Trio, you will not be disappointed.

Great show as expected with some tunes from the upcoming recording "View With a Room" coming out September 16th, 2022. Great trio interplay and rapport. Any musician including guitar players are sure to head to their room for some intense practicing. I have now seen Julian 5 times and hope he returns next year or sooner.

An unbelievably great musical experience. It was like getting to see Bach perform. Julian is one of the all-time greats.

Great trio and a well deserved Grammy nomination for Julian Lage. It is unfortunate that the show had to be at the horseshoe, however, the crowd was very attentive. In the past, I have seen shows at where people are talking throughout the entire performance. This was not the case as Julian shows a strong command for playing alongside excellent players. I would strongly recommend a better venue for the sake of comfort and ease of motion throughout. Musicians of this caliber deserve better.

Great concert with a very talented trio. When it’s that great, it always feels too short

Great concert- venue needs to figure out the door situation. Arrived at 8 to find huge line down the gross alley our back to get in. We decided to go have a drink and wait for the line to go down. We came back at 8:43 and the line was just as bad. Got in at almost 9 barely in time for the start of the show. Late and his band were brilliant however.

Julian Lagle has been great every time we have seen him, and the Library is a really nice venue. Wonderful evening!
