About German Kitkin
Pianist, composer, and conductor German Kitkin started his path in music at the age of 7. He graduated from the «Moscow College of Musical Performance» named after F. Chopin in the class of Professor Vera Gornostaeva. In 2013 he entered the «Moscow State Conservatory» named after P.I. Tchaikovsky in the class of Professor M.S. Voskresensky.
During the years of study, he repeatedly became a laureate of international competitions in Russia, Europe, the USA, and Japan:
2013 - Piano competition in Aarhus (Denmark);
2013 - Neuhaus Piano Competition (Russia);
2014 - Yamaha Music Award;
2017 - S. Benditsky Piano Competition (Russia);
2017 - Shigeru Kawai Piano Competition in Tokyo (Japan);
2018 - Piano Competition in Takamatsu (Japan).
Since 2015 he has been a soloist at the «St. Petersburg House of Music». In 2020 graduated from the «Kazan State Conservatory» in the class of «Opera and Symphony Conducting» (Professor S. Ferulev). In 2022 awarded the Special Prize of the «Aspen Festival» (USA).
He has collaborated and performed with orchestras: Hamamatsu Philharmonic Orchestra, Seto Philharmonic Orchestra, Takamatsu Philharmonic Orchestra, Aspen Festival Orchestra, Yaroslavl Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, Ulyanovsk State Academic Symphony Orchestra, Tyumen Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera and Ballet Theater of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
