Nectar Palace (Shaun Pouliot) nous présente sa propre définition du noise Pop en créant un univers tranchant, saturé de textures percutantes et de rythmes accrocheurs. Imaginons un cocktail entre Metronomy et Neon Indian, secoué par Connan Mockasin, avec une olive Toro y Moi et une touche de chanson française en peignoir. Fort de ses multiples collaborations (Super Plage, Félix Dyotte, Le Couleur, Radiant Baby, Ormiston, Meggie Lennon et Jordann) et après avoir marqué les esprits aux Francouvertes 2024, il est fin prêt à faire danser vos émotions contradictoires.

Originaire de Rosemère, l'artiste a troqué les riffs de heavy métal de son adolescence contre des synthés analogiques et des beats dansants. Après quelques années de niaisage intensif (aussi appelées « exploration existentielle »), il se range du côté des études en musique, où il flirt avec le jazz au cégep et à l’université. Il affine son jeu de guitare à coups de gigs corpo – mariages, partys de bureau, funérailles incluses – tout en développant une obsession parallèle pour le rock et la musique électronique.

Ce parcours excentrique, muri sur cinq années de recherches sonores et d’introspection professionnelle, donne naissance à son premier EP
Automate, à paraître le 30 janvier 2026.


Nectar Palace (Shaun Pouliot) redefines noise pop with a sharp, saturated sound built on gritty textures and irresistible grooves. Think Metronomy meets Neon Indian, shaken by Connan Mockasin, served with a Toro y Moi olive and a splash of bathrobe-clad French chanson. After turning heads at the 2024 Francouvertes and collaborating with the likes of Super Plage, Félix Dyotte, Le Couleur, Radiant Baby, Ormiston, Meggie Lennon, and Jordann, Nectar Palace is ready to get your inner conflicts grooving.



Raised in the suburbs of Montreal, Shaun ditched teenage metal riffs for analog synths and dancefloor beats. Following a few years of existential drifting (a.k.a. messing around), he landed in music school, dabbling with jazz through college and university. He sharpened his guitar chops by gigging at weddings, office parties — even funerals — all while developing an obsession for rock and electronic music.

Five years of sonic tinkering and soul-searching later, Nectar Palace is releasing his debut EP, Automate, on January 30, 2026.
