About IVY
IVY
Ōtepoti-based alt-rock quintet IVY have quickly become a standout presence in Dunedin’s music scene. Their sound reflects a clear sense of artistic growth, earning them respect among listeners and peers alike.
Blending dark, atmospheric textures with layered choruses, shifting time signatures, and experimental instrumentation, IVY craft music that is both intricate and emotionally resonant. Their lyrics, grounded in everyday themes, are delivered with nuance and strength, adding depth without losing accessibility. It’s a sound that strikes a balance between technical ambition and genuine feeling.
