PLAYN FOR KEEPS is a hardcore band forged in the heart of Fort Lupton, Colorado (weld county). Fusing crushing metallic riffs, relentless breakdowns, and raw, unfiltered emotion, the band delivers a sound that's both punishing and purposeful—deeply rooted in the hardcore tradition while carving out a space all their own.

Formed by seasoned members of the Colorado heavy music scene, PLAYN FOR KEEPS brings together guitarist Marcos Gonzalez (ex‑Inherit the Horror), drummer Chris Westphal (ex Eyes Fall Open), bassist Nick Livingston, and vocalist John Rocha (ex Come Forth By Day). Each member draws from a deep well of influences—ranging from Throwdown, Hatebreed, and Bury Your Dead to Shai Hulud—to craft songs that hit hard both sonically and lyrically.

Since dropping their debut two-song demo in early 2025, PLAYN FOR KEEPS has quickly become a name to watch in the underground. With a no-frills approach and a live set that leaves no room for complacency, the band has already brought their aggressive, high-intensity sound to stages across Colorado, with more regional dates and a broader tour in the works.
