TRA

Tyler Aeschlimann, or TRA is an indie-alt rapper, vocalist, filmmaker, photographer, and multidisciplinary artist based in Chicago. Known for blending emotionally-driven lyrics with visually compelling storytelling, TRA continues to build a diverse and impactful body of work across music and visual media.

Originally from Rochester, Minnesota, Tyler discovered his passion for the arts at an early age. At just 12 years old, he launched his first YouTube channel, producing a wide range of creative content including vlogs, shoe reviews, stop-motion animations, and short films. In 2018, he released his first two singles, initially as a lighthearted experiment. However, the release of his breakout track Again marked a turning point, leading him to explore deeper themes such as personal growth, mental health, and love through his music.
Tyler earned his degree in Film with a minor in Photography from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 2023. During his studies, he founded ARTRA Studios, a production company through which he has directed and produced numerous short films, music videos, and documentaries—showcasing a distinct visual style and commitment to authentic storytelling.
