bari

bari is the musical project of Wellington-based producer and DJ Isaiah Barry, blending deep house grooves with jazz, soul, disco and live instrumentation.

Known for bringing a live element to his sets, bari combines DJing with saxophone and guitar, creating an energetic and fluid experience that moves between soulful grooves and the energy of the club. Entirely self-produced, his music and live sets are built around a love of musicianship, improvisation and dance music.

At just 19, bari has already released music on respected international labels including France’s Egoplanet Records and Germany’s 55 Music, while building a growing audience across New Zealand and internationally.

From intimate club rooms to some of New Zealand’s biggest summer festivals, bari’s sets bring together the worlds of live music and electronic music in a way that is distinctly his own.
