The Uplifter

An unpredictable underground artist who can one minute be found creating music in the studio with ethereal, dark undertones... The next, jumping barefoot two feet off the ground behind a drum kit playing some of the most uplifting songs you’re ever likely to hear.

2024 marks 20 years since Tom Earwaker stepped onto the stage as The Uplifter. Earwaker is a one-man-band on stage whilst a music producer and multi-instrumentalist off-stage, currently living in England, beneath the towering cranes and rusty shipping containers of Southampton docks.

The Uplifter releases include a sold out 12” vinyl featuring 6 cuts of 'Freedom Chant | Flag So High' followed shortly by a limited edition 10” vinyl entitled, 'Stroud' - a homage to the Gloucestershire town, driven by an urge to say thank you to Stroud and it's community who are fiercely supportive of so many artists from around the world. The vinyl release was accompanied by a crowdfunded music video.

The sailing into new realms of music and visual art continues in the studio as well as behind the camera, collaborating with recording engineer and co-producer Rory Thomas-Lawton as well as music videos shot and edited by his brother, artistic collaborator and award-winning filmmaker, Jake Earwaker.
