About Midnight Spies
Midnight Spies
Born in the outskirts of Houston TX, Midnight Spies strive to bring the eccentricities of new wave and modern pop into their hometown. Formed by bassist/vocalist Matthew Newton and guitarist/producer Julian Martinez, the duo started writing and producing under the name Midnight Spies during the depths of 2020.
Their latest single, "The Owl Sees All", was written after the band played their first few shows. Inspired by the impostor syndrome that appeared once they hit the spotlight, it became a challenge to write a song that captured the nothingness of those feelings, and top what had been written previously to prove those feelings wrong.
