Mageia is a female-fronted progressive doom band based in Passau (AT/DE), moving uncompromisingly between the realms of weight and structure, mysticism and melancholy. Founded in 2019 by vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and creative force Liza Kay, Mageia has since crafted a sonic universe where slow-motion doom riffs, atmospheric art rock, spiritual themes, and intricate arrangements merge into one cohesive, immersive experience.

Mageia’s debut album “Mageia” was released in 2020 and gained international recognition within the female-fronted metal community through tracks like “The Rose” and “As Above So Below.” With their 2024 follow-up “Breath of Fire,” the band refined their sonic identity – deeper, darker, more focused. The single “Maya” was presented as an audiovisual ritual and described as “a cathartic journey between earth and ether.”
