About The go get ems
The Go Get Ems are a three-piece independent pop-punk/ska-punk band from Albuquerque, NM. Formed in 2021, the trio built their following in the sweaty glow of house shows and DIY venues around Albuquerque, earning a reputation for cathartic singalongs and infectious energy.
Drawing influence from genre-bending heroes like Jeff Rosenstock, Bomb the Music Industry!, Bruce Lee Band, Green Day, Murder By Death, The Regrettes, AJJ, and Amigo the Devil, The Go Get Ems specialize in punchy, angst-ridden anthems delivered with just enough sarcasm and realness to make you wonder if
the lyrics were somehow written for you.
Their debut EP, I Went to College and All I Got was this Lousy EP, drops May 9, 2025—the 10-year-anniversary of lead singer and guitarist Christian Urbina’s college graduation. The four songs are disgruntled diary entries about coping with Urbina’s loneliness, pessimism, and disenchantment with the college experience. It’s a four-track crash course in loud guitars, catchy chaos, and lyrics about debt,
dread, and the fine line between a mental breakdown and a good time.
