About Via Castello
Via Castello is a rising singer-songwriter making waves in the music scene. Raised between a rural town in British Columbia, Canada, and a charming village in Italy, they absorbed diverse cultures and musical influences that now shape their unique sound. Now based in Vancouver, BC, they are adjusting to city life, eager to establish their place in the local music scene. For Via, music serves as a personal diary, inviting listeners to explore their whimsical and passionate world.
Their debut album, Peak Inside, offers a rich blend of genres, from the intimate acoustic tones of "Rambles" to the cheeky blues of "Bad Bones Billy." Drawing inspiration from artists like Ingrid Michaelson, Hozier, and Jack Johnson, Via's music reflects both introspection and playfulness.
Fragile the EP has upbeat rock and a little country twang; the intention behind it was to simply have fun! With a sweet tribute to their sister on “Alice”, and a nod to home on “Welcome To Canada”, get ready to groove!
Both projects were a labor of love, nurtured by a supportive family, talented friends, and an incredible team of professionals. They’re looking forward to releasing more music with their band, Luis DeJesus and Taylor Harrison on guitar, Brett Selinger on bass, and Jay Schreiber on drums. With more music on the way, Via plans to release new material in 2026, so stay tuned for what’s next!
