Tom Dobson

Tom Dobson is an American singer, songwriter and record producer quickly making a name for himself as this generations country rock and roller. Dobson was raised in northwest Connecticut and now splits his time between life on the East Coast and Bozeman, Montana.

Never one to shy away from diversity, he grew up listening to a wide variety of legendary musicians such as Jimmy Buffett, Garth Brooks, U2, John Mayer and Blink 182. With some of his top influencers being Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, and Dierks Bentley, its no surprise Dobson possesses a fearless approach when writing and producing his music.

With the release of his debut album, ‘American Man,’ Dobson defies convention by bringing a long awaited, authentic and edgy, sound to the likes of the country-rock community. Although contemporary, there is nothing cookie cutter about the statement making LP. Best described as having the authenticity of Tom Petty with the attitude of Eric Church, ‘American Man’ is the heavy hitting-upbeat anthem America has been long been waiting for.

"I'm here to sing songs reminiscent of how I grew up, represent where I come from and write about what I’ve been lucky enough to experience. I wont let someone try and put me in a box, or make me follow the crowd for musical identity- people don’t want that. From my experience, I find that the things people connect with when discovering a new artist is honesty within the lyrics and fun music. What I do, I do with genuine grit and attitude that's true to me. I guess that's why some are saying that I'm putting the man back in country music, which is cool, but everyday, every rehearsal, show and fan is just a blessing. I'm lucky to be running down this dream with one hell of a band that kicks ass".
