About Part of the Theory
Part of The Theory is a progressive soundtrack band from Athens, Greece, blending dense textures, prog structures, ethnic instrumentation, and powerful female vocals. Their music bridges progressive metal with cinematic storytelling, crafting immersive worlds through sound.
Formed in 2021, the band first made waves performing at Greece’s largest youth music festival, Schoolwave, in 2022 and 2023. In 2024, they were approached by filmmaker Christopher Papakaliatis to compose for Netflix’s Maestro in Blue (Season 2), appearing on-screen and releasing the track “Subway Train (Maestro in Blue Edition).”
Their upcoming debut single explores the dark undercurrents of materialism and power, set against the sonic backdrop of the Balkans.
