About TRAITS
Formed in early 2022, TRAITS are a dynamic Liverpool band with Kieran McCarthy on vocals, Steven Holmes on keys, Matty Campbell on lead guitar, Adam Bridge on bass, and Ben McLaughlin on drums. They collaborate with producer Rob Whiteley, who is known for his work with The Night Café and The Wombats.
TRAITS have supported notable local bands including Keyside, The Cheap Thrills, and SPINN, helping to solidify their presence in the Liverpool music scene. A career-defining moment came when they performed the Beatles' "Love Me Do" at Sir Paul McCartney's childhood home to mark the song's 60th anniversary. This special performance at 20 Forthlin Road, where the song was originally written, was part of an event organised by the National Trust. They were selected by a panel that included Sir Paul's brother Mike McCartney, music writer and DJ Pete Paphides, and representatives from the National Trust. Vocalist Kieran McCarthy described the experience as “the most special thing we could possibly imagine.”
