Zaki Ali

Zaki Ali, the mastermind behind the thunderous symphonies of instrumental metal, is a virtuosic solo musician who has carved a unique path in the realms of music. With an awe-inspiring ability to wield every instrument at a world-class level, Zaki Ali delivers a sonic assault that transcends the boundaries of traditional heavy metal.

After almost 10 years of playing guitar Zaki fully immersed himself in becoming a drummer by performing and touring professionally for years with various artists. Zaki completely broke musical boundaries that had previously limited his guitar playing abilities by patiently allowing himself to physically play and feel odd rhythms from bands like Meshuggah all the way to playing complex technical leads from artists like Jeff Loomis. The result has been bringing upon a true representation of self on every instrument in song form.

While having learned how to play instruments well, Zaki also simultaneously focused on learning how to record, edit, mix, and master music over the course of 20 years. With a background working at several different recording studios Zaki put a strong focus on writing music that would complement a specific production style to bring out the energy of the music with the use of 8 string guitars, double bass drumming, and playing odd time signatures all while complimenting each other.
