Sydka

Sydka is an electronic music producer and DJ known for his distinctive fusion of
midtempo house, techno, minimal, and downtempo. Raised in Santa Barbara,
California, he first gained recognition in the San Diego music scene before
relocating to Los Angeles, where he continues to evolve his craft. Early influences
from the downtempo techno and house sounds of Berlin and other European
artists shaped his creative vision, inspiring a signature style that resonates with
music enthusiasts worldwide.
Following his debut European tour, Sydka has performed at iconic venues and
festivals, including Kater Blau (Berlin), Las Festival (Poland), Chateâu Perché
Festival (France), Zugvögel Festival (Germany), Habitat Festival (Germany), and
Culture Box (Copenhagen). In the U.S., he has taken the stage at notable festivals
including Lucidity Festival and Same Same But Different Festival.
Sydka’s music is a dynamic blend of emotion, introspection, and storytelling,
infused with a funky, dark, and driving energy that keeps dance floors alive. His
distinctive sound is deeply personal yet universally appealing, reflecting themes of
deepness and exploration while staying undeniably high-energy and club-ready.
With releases on esteemed labels across Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France,
and the U.S.—including down. records, LOKD, Serafin Audio Imprint, Sounds of
Khemit, Circles & Stones, and Crepite—Sydka continues to leave his mark on the
international music scene.
Looking ahead, Sydka is turning focus towards Tessara, a label he co-founded with
his long-time friend and collaborator, bawab. This partnership, rooted in a shared
passion for boundary-pushing music, has produced numerous tracks and live
performances as a duo. Together, they also curate "Motif," an eclectic event series
in Los Angeles built around an inclusive ethos that prioritizes the music and
experience, avoiding VIP and guestlist culture in favor of a raw, authentic vibe.
Through his boundary-pushing sound and unyielding creativity, Sydka is
solidifying his reputation as an emerging force in the global electronic music
