THE POST is a duo born from the fusion of two unique musical forces: Esther Bertram, an internationally acclaimed Australian/Finnish singer-songwriter/guitarist/producer, and Alasdair Henry, a UK-born cellist with a flair for avant-garde soundscapes. Their paths crossed on the picturesque islands of southeast Queensland.

Drawing on Esther’s 14-year European music career—fronting the pioneering world music band Dissidenten, winning prestigious songwriting accolades including the EMI Berlin Songwriting Competition, and performing on international stages & TV—THE POST creates music that resonates with raw emotion, grit, and storytelling.

Their sound is a striking blend of rocky, soulful energy paired with the richness of cello, weaving an edgy tapestry of human experience. True to their artistic ethos, THE POST embraces gritty urban aesthetics and surreal visuals, pairing their songs with evocative music videos that captivate the mind and soul.

In 2025, the duo embarks on a journey of releasing singles in a waterfall strategy, culminating in an album release at the year’s end and preparing for an international tour in 2026.
